PREFACE AND THE THREE HYPOTHESES OF THE COURSE
The approach of this Character Education School Course can be summarised through the following aims/hypotheses:
1.By strengthening school-aged children’s conceptual understanding of right/constructive and wrong/destructive and developing their moral and analytical skills, which include the ability of moral reasoning and ethical judgment, they will develop better ethics and be boosted with a stronger religious foundation in life.
2.By training their emotional, social, and moral skills, they can better master destructive thoughts and feelings through self-reflection, self-evaluation, and self-control, which leads to more mindful and pro-social behaviour.
3.By providing them with knowledge of Dīn, which will help them stay God-fearing and conscious about the purpose of life - with its never-ending choices and tests, they are supported in recognising the voice of their conscience and remain in touch with their Self, i.e. reflective consciousness. A better psychological insight, Islāmic guidance and enlightenment, reminders, and motivation will collectively make them more competent and confident in making righteous and constructive decisions when facing life’s challenges. This will minimise destructive choices, trivial errors and wrong-doing.
This character-building Course is developed to help guide the new generation through the jungle of life, which can be very deceitful, especially if one is not aware of “the true rules of the game” and what life is truly about in its essence.

The main objective of ICE Publishers is to provide some fundamental Islāmic guidance and enlightenment throughout the crucial years of development in a way that most children and youngsters can understand, grasp and adapt effectively. This aim is measured by whether and to what extent the student is able to recognise right/constructive from wrong/destructive and how conscious they appear to be about the test of life.
